2023 Summer Wheat Evening Entertainment & Sunday Morning Schedule

Everything from Irish Pub Sessions, Singalongs, and Cowboy Campfires means evenings filled with smiles and fun!

There’s a jam or two every night. Some are slow, some fast, and some around the campfire. While we have scheduled jams with organized themes, plenty of jams pop up all over and include musicians of all kinds.

On Honky Tonk Night, students sing their favorite traditional songs on stage with the instructors as the backup band.

Fun Night allows students to step on stage to share jokes, skits, poems, comedy, and entertainment.

Tribute concerts will include styles that honor Bob Dylan, Merele Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, John Prine, Gordon Lightfoot, and David Crosby.

On the last evening of camp (June 17), the final Student Showcase is an open mic event that highlights the talents and skills of the students from the week of learning. Evening guests can opt to include dinner which is provided by Hearty Harvest, a local farm-to-table entity that provides delicious and nourishing meals. The showcase is followed by a lively cajun dance where we dance the night away!

Evening activities – jam sessions, dances, and performances – are available to the public for $10 per person per night; or $40 for all five nights. Dinner is also available for an additional $10. Evening passes are available at the Information Building beginning at 5:00 p.m.
