Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2023 Summer Wheat Music Camp
The Summer Wheat Music Camp was an unforgettable experience that beautifully showcased the power of community and camaraderie.
We embarked on a musical journey filled with inspiration. There were so many moments filled with learning, laughter, and the joy of creating incredible music together. From energizing instruction to the fun-filled performances, the camp ignited our passion for music and left us with lasting memories. Not only did we indulge in great food and have an absolute blast, but we also formed lasting connections.
Our hearts are already yearning for the next Summer Wheat Music Camp in 2024. Please check back for information about our next event, especially in early 2024. We hope you will join us!

June 13-18, 2023
Experience the joy of a week of fun, music, concerts, dance, food, and summer goodness at Wheatland’s 7th Annual Summer Wheat Music Camp, designed for adults ages 18 and up.
Students learn from the best of the best in today’s traditional music scene. Classes include lap dulcimer, hammer dulcimer, fiddle, guitar, singing, songwriting, mandolin, upright bass, harmonica, and ukulele. Musical styles include (but are not limited to) Irish, Old Time, Blues, and Cajun.
Featuring a lineup of internationally and nationally renowned award-winning instructors, the Wheatland Summer Wheat Music Camp returns for its seventh year on the grounds of the Wheatland Music Organization in mid-Michigan.

With a focus on traditional music, participants develop their skills in one-on-one sessions and in small group lessons.
Held June 13-18, 2023, musicians, from beginners to seasoned professionals, can join for a day, a few days, or a full week.

Enjoy staying on the beautiful 160 acre festival grounds where the Wheatland Music Festival takes place in Remus, Michigan where you will find rolling hills, meadows, and wooded areas.

This camp is designed for adult players of all levels. Young folks able to sustain an adult level of participation are welcome (parent or guardian required for those under 18). There is a discounted option for non-musical spouses, partners, and parents to join the fun.
Summer Wheat is a week of small classes that are honestly almost like private lessons for music makers on all levels. I left camp with enough tunes to join jams at the Wheatland festival. The community at this camp feels so welcoming and is in the spirit of what Wheatland is all about.
